About ElementRef
ElementRef is an independent reference database for industrial filter elements. We publish one specification page per model, cite the source catalog version on every parameter, and grade every cross reference so maintenance buyers can tell a safe drop-in from a hopeful guess.
Why this site exists
Aftermarket filter distribution runs on static interchange tables that get copied from seller to seller. They rarely cite sources, they rarely distinguish “fits the bowl” from “performs identically”, and they never flag where one table contradicts another. Equipment downtime caused by a wrongly substituted element is paid by the maintenance team, not the table.
ElementRef answers the same question a careful engineer would ask with a catalog in hand: does this element fit, does it protect at the same efficiency level, and what is the evidence? We publish 4853 model pages today and extend the catalog brand by brand.
How we stay neutral
- No manufacturer pays for a listing, a match level or a ranking position.
- Every parameter links to its source document with version and access date.
- Cross references carry three explicit levels with the grading rules shown on every page.
- Source conflicts are displayed, not hidden.
- The full dataset is free under CC BY 4.0 — including to competing sellers.
- No manufacturer trademark appears in our site name or domain.
How the service works
Reference use of the site is free and registration-free. Through the inquiry form you can ask the engineering desk to verify an element or source it: replies arrive within 2 business hours, and the first quotation includes both the original brand and 1–2 verified equivalents within 24 hours on business days. Sourcing revenue is what funds the catalog; editorial grades are not for sale.
Using our data or tool
The dataset is published under CC BY 4.0, and the cross-reference finder can be embedded free on engineering sites and forums. Read the editorial policy for the verification and correction process.
